After a failed romance, Evelina Adams spends the rest of her days pouring her love into her garden. When her young cousin, Evelina Leonard, comes to town and begins a relationship with the local minister, will her romance end in the same fate?
This was a fanciful romance with some frustrating decision-making from most of the protagonists. However, its short length (apx 60 pages) and purple prose are its saving grace. It reads as a dreamy fairy tale and ends on a high note. This would be a great story to read aloud to young children, or a perfect "starter romance" for young teens.
